Beginning of Christmas...

Now I guess it’s time for the big one…Christmas! We have had a very busy Christmas season. After the family left, we still stayed busy around here. This year I didn’t feel very service-y so we didn’t do any goodie plates like we normally do. I just didn’t feel up to it and was a little down. But shortly before Christmas we did find out that a co-worker of Jon’s was in need of some help (they didn’t have a tree, decorations, presents…) so we decided to help. Another co-worker brought them a tree with some ornaments, and Jon and I decided to get them a Christmas. So we had people that wanted to donate a gift for the 2 boys and they really had a great Christmas. I also made sure my boys participated; they helped me wrap all the presents that were given and I even had them pick out a small toy for each of the two kids, so they could think about someone other than themselves! I do have to say; that was very difficult. Taking the boys shopping for toys for someone other than themselves, but we made it through. We also did that with the boys for their cousins’ gifts, and that was also a nightmare. But hopefully if we do it each year they will be better and better.

We went to Glendale Glitters Saturday December 17th, and it was so much fun. It’s a town square type thing which has all the trees lit up with tons of Christmas lights. They also have vendor booths set up as well as rides and bounce houses for the kids.

It wasn’t at all what I expected, but we still had fun. Jon had to work but I had already planned on taking the boys. Brenda, Mark, and Bryan ended up coming too so it was great! Bryan was a great help taking the boys to the bathroom for me and Brenda and Mark were great watching Carolee while we were waiting in the lines. Even though it rained, it was a beautiful night.

Their favorite thing to do...they got to go in the plastic balls and walk to push them. Well, Caleb actually walked/ran in his, and Skyler just crawled while the guy pushed him. But they had so much fun!

Caleb's on your right and Skyler's on your left.
Then Uncle Bryan took both boys on the spinning barrel!
My silly boys acting like ghosts!
My sweet girl and I! And yes we are wearing matching beanies and flowers!
Love my family and wish Jon could have been there with us!
