Jon took the boys fishing in September and the boys had a great time. They didn’t catch anything, but still loved it. I was there with Carolee also, but it was mostly so I could watch the boys for the first time. A guy in the ward had invited Jon to go fishing with him; so Jon got a pole, a license, and went out with the guy and had fun. He caught a couple fish but thankfully it was a catch and release day because I can’t stand cooked fish. But then he took the boys out and they had a great time.
Jon got them both Spiderman fishing poles and first took them to the park to practice casting the line. Man, they are seriously dangerous! Many times the hooks almost got hooked in hair, on clothes, and all over actually. Jon spent quite a bit of time untangling their lines since they kept getting them tangled up.
They had a great time though and Jon's planning on taking them out again this week hopefully!
The next two pictures are of both boys watching the small fish when they jumped out of the water to the grass.
Skyler scares me sometimes...he had no fear of falling at all and walked on that ledge repeatedly. The one below is him chasing birds around when he got tired of fishing! :)
We were out there for a couple hours until Carolee got super cranky and the boys were pretty much tired of fishing. But it was a lot of fun and hopefully we can do it more often!
