He’s been in the Pre-K class with Mrs. Rusch at The Iliad Academy since August and loves it. He got to go on his first fieldtrip in October to a farm out here in the valley and loved it. He got to have a pajama day last week, loves getting his book orders through school, and had a great concert through his school for Christmas. He does such a good job learning songs and remembering them. What a blessing.
In October they had the Primary Program at church and I was so proud of him; he memorized his part “Reverence is love and respect for God” and said it at the pulpit without any hesitation. He sang all the songs, I was so proud, and of course I cried. Right after the program he had the scripture in Sharing Time. He read James 1:5, and when I say he read it, I mean it. He read all the words and I just stood there in case he needed help.
He has been reading more and more, and I think a big part of it is the Bob books. He has now finished the first 5 sets of Bob books and is now reading the Little Critter “I can read” books, and even read me “Snowy Day” the other day. I was so surprised and so proud at the same time.
At his parent teacher conference I found out he prefers going to the math center at preschool and loves doing sequencing and reading. He also plays in the kitchen a lot but rarely goes to art. However, at home he loves doing art and has a great time.
So in this post are pictures of Caleb at his preschool concert. He's wearing his peppermint tie I made him and standing next to his good friend Emma in the top one. And below are pictures of his class and the bottom one is a video of one of the songs. In the class pictures he's in the back row right behind the microphone. Caleb had such a great time and had such fun singing. Jon had to work so it was just Skyler and I there, but Caleb did a great job.
